Science 9  |  Gum Lab

Today's task is to determine which brand of gum is the "best:"

• Juicy Fruit Original
• Dentyne Fire (Cinnamon)
• Double Bubble (Eggs)
• Wrigley's 5 (Peppermint Cobalt)

Students will work in small groups (no more than three) to solve this problem.

Science 10  |  Motion:  Things that Move

As an introduction to our first concept of Motion, students will research the characteristics of an object that moves.  Research the following:

1.  Basic shape and structure of the object
2.  The forces acting upon the object in motion
3.  What makes the object move
4.  Interesting information about the object such as top speed or acceleration rates.

Students will create a poster illustrating the information they have found.
