Science 9  |  Measurement Lab

Students will finish collecting data for the  Measurement Lab.  Once data is completed, students will use their skills with metric conversion to write their answers in a second metric unit.

Environmental Science 20 |  100 Mile Diet / Food Sources Lab

We will discuss the concept of the 100 Mile Diet.

I will also introduce the Food Sources Lab.  Today, students will plan three days of meals, which they will use as a grocery list during the next two class periods.  Tomorrow, students will walk to Safeway on 33rd Street.  There, they will collect data pertaining to the items on their list.  On Wednesday, students will walk to the Saskatoon Farmer's Market to complete their data collection.

Thursday, students will be given class time to analyze their data and formulate a conclusion.

Health Science 20 |  Assessment

Students will assess completed work.


I will allow time to complete and submit the following assignments, which are due today:

Common and Alternative Medicines
Medicinal Herb Hunt

Science 10  |  Speed Trap Lab

Problem:
What percentage of cars are speeding in the school zone surrounding Bedford Road Collegiate in a 10 minute time period.

Today, the groups will go outdoors to collect data.  Once data is compiled, the class will go back to the classroom to analyze the data and start the formal lab write up.
