Health Science 20 |  Calculating Calories

Students will use their knowledge of calories to calculate yesterday's personal food caloric intake totals.

  1. List all foods consumed, separated into separate meals and snacks.
  2. Use https://www.caloriecount.com/ to calculate the calories of each food item, as well as the grams of fat, carbohydrates, and proteins contained within each item.
  3. For each meal, calculate what percentages of the calories consumed were attributed to fat, carbohydrates, and proteins.
  4. Calculate how many calories you consumed yesterday.
