Students will write the Mid Term Exam

Environmental Science 20 |  Brightwater Preparation

Reminder:  Tomorrow, the class will travel to Brightwater for our second on-site experience.  The bus will leave at 9:00 am.  Students are cleared from their morning classes.

In preparation for tomorrow's Field Experience, students will complete a Brightwater Ethnobotany Inquiry.  Using the resources listed below, students will select a plant which is native to Brightwater and which they can identify and find on sight during the current season. By completing the Ethnobotany Inquiry, students will have prepared themselves to search for their plant on site tomorrow and introduce a few of the plants characteristics to the group.

Agriculture in the Classroom presents:
Agriculture, Human Health and the Environment.

Primarily intended for Science 9 / 10, Environment Science 20, Biology 30, and Earth Science 30.  The is event will be broadcast live from Millar Comprehensive High School on October 7 from 1:10 pm to 2:10 pm.

Dr. Patrick Moore will provide a perspective on the future of agriculture and the environmental issues associated with growing our food and fiber.  From pesticides to fertilizers to genetic modifications, Dr. Moore makes the case for using science and technology to improve the nutrition and productivity of our food production systems.  This talk will inspire students to explore technology in agricultural production and show us that we can feed 9 billion people if we take advantage of the knowledge we already possess.

Students will meet in room 227 at 1:05 pm.  Students are cleared from their period four classes.

I will use this digital presentation to describe the theory of acceleration as related to velocity and time.
